With summer and party season just around the corner, it's time to master a few simple tips and tricks for flawless makeup that will last all night long!
Don't be afraid to start your prep with a good moisturiser. This step goes a long way to achieving a glowing, dewy look for your skin. Wait until absorbed before continuing with your makeup.
2. Find the time to prime
It's a golden rule you should never skip - primer will smooth your skin for easier application of makeup and ensure it lasts the night. Perfect for the summer months, try our Retexturizing Face Primer or Retexturecreme Face Primer with added SPF20.
3. It's all about definition
Whether you love to contour or are more of a strobing fan, add definition to your facial features with some well placed brush strokes. Dust some Sun Kissed Bronzer into the hollow of your cheeks (suck them in as a guide), along your jawline and temple for a subtle enhancement of your features. Finish with the Mineral Illuminator swept just above the cheek bones and blended outward towards the temples to highlight the area.
4. Create a mood
Eyes are said to be the window to the soul and are also central to creating the feel of your makeup look. For a sultry smoulder you can't beat a smokey eye - choose the Alison Jade Pressed Pigment palette that best suits your skin tones and blend with the darkest colour at the lashline to the lightest colour towards the crease and brow bone.
5. There's more to a look than just a face!
It's easy to think that our beauty routine starts and ends with our face but don't forget about the rest of your skin as well! Keep your skin well hydrated throughout summer by drinking plenty of water and moisturising regularly.
When applying your make-up for the night, think about how much skin will be on show - a bit of highlighter along the centre of your arms and legs will draw focus to their slimmest part, making them appear longer and leaner, and a light dusting of bronzer along your décolletage will give your skin a sun-kissed glow.
