PICA turns PINK for the annual Salon Vernissage!

The PICA Salon Vernissage has gained a reputation for being one of Perth’s most sophisticated events and this year was no different. Reserved for PICA’s ART1000 and ART5000 Donors and the exhibiting artists, the opening night of the PICA Salon is a collector’s dream.

With live music throughout the evening by Justin Burford, a DJ set by Kynan Tan, spectacular canapés by Heyder and Shears and cocktails designed by Ezra Pound, this Salon Vernissage proved to be an unforgettable evening. Alison Jade Cosmetics was proud to support local artists as a donor and also as a sponsor of the evening.

We also loved the bright pink floor which reminded us of our favourite pink Xtreme Lipsticks!

If you want to check out the artworks (and we think you should!) head to the Westend Gallery between 3 August - 31 August 2014.

The PICA Salon takes the traditional salon concept and twists it into an exquisitely designed microcosm of artworks by today's most renowned contemporary artists.

This annual exhibition celebrates the stellar history of Perthʼs leading contemporary arts organisation by showcasing artworks for sale by a selection of those who have exhibited at the institute over the last 23 years.

The 2014 PICA Salon artists are: Abdul Abdullah, Jacqueline Ball, Richard Bell, Tom Borgas, Consuelo Cavaniglia, Julie Dowling, Sarah Elson, Eva Fernandez, Bevan Honey, Dianne Jones, William Kentridge, Danius Kesminas / Slave Pianos, Joanna Lamb, Kenny Pittock, Pilar Mata Dupont, Yuko Mohri, Paul Moncrieff, Laura Moore, Andrew Nicholls, Max Pam, Perdita Phillips, Samuel Galileo Quinteros, Alistair Rowe, Lisa Uhl and the Yirrkala Printmakers.
