IS LIP BLUSH RIGHT FOR YOU?

Ideal Candidate for Lip Blush

  • If you have uneven lips
  • If you have pale lips
  • If you have lost definition
  • If you want fuller looking lips
  • If you have lip filler
  • If you wear lipstick every day

Considerations for Lip Blush

  • Cold sore Virus - If you have ever had a Cold Sore or are a carrier of the virus the Lip blush tattoo process will trigger a breakout. We can proceed with the treatment as long as the virus is not active at the time of service. We recommend you see your GP for antiviral medication prior to your appointment to help avoid a breakout. Please call us if you require further information.
  • Lip Filler - You must wait a minimum of 4 weeks after having Lip filler before proceeding with Lip Blush Tattooing
  • Any facial Laser of chemical/active peels - you must wait a minimum of 4 weeks
  • Excessive dry lips - This can cause discomfort throughout the procedure as well as more bleeding and uneven result. We recommend that you drink one Berocca per day and a minimum of 2 litres of water for 2 weeks prior to help the skin heal
  • Cleft Palate - Lip Blush can be used to give a more symmetrical appearance to the lips however because of the scarring, you may not receive a perfect result
  • Hyperpigmentation - this will need to be assessed on a case by case basis
  • Vitiligo -  this will need to be assessed on a case by case basis as Cosmetic tattoo can cause the Vitiligo and loss of melanin to spread
  • Venus Lake Spots - This will need to be assessed on a case by case basis. If the Venus Lake Spots are large, it can cause the area to bleed and fade more than other areas
  • Contact Dermatitis -  This can cause discomfort throughout the procedure as well as more bleeding and uneven result
  • If your primary goal with lip blush is to achieve overdrawn lips and completely change your lip shape, it's important to know that you might not be the ideal candidate for this procedure. While lip blush can enhance definition and subtly alter the shape, significant changes may not be possible due to individual variations in natural lip structure. This will be evaluated during your appointment, as each case is unique.
