Time to Prime

It’s a crime not to prime!

Any makeup artist will tell you, ‘it’s crime not to prime!’ Priming your skin before applying foundation and concealer is an important step in applying your makeup for a number of reasons - it makes your makeup last longer, fills in your pores to create a smooth and soft surface which allows your foundation to glide on with ease, and prevents clogged pores and breakouts on the skin that can often be caused by foundations.

When it comes to primer, less is more, you only need a pea size amount to use all over the face. We have a few different options at the salon:

Retexturecreme with Liposomes

This primer is super hydrating and perfect for normal to dry skin. It adds a healthy radiant glow to the face, creating the perfect canvas before foundation application. This primer can be worn on its own, underneath foundation or even mixed in with a foundation or BB cream to create a lighter coverage.

Retexturizing Face Primer

This primer is so light you can’t even feel it on your skin! It is suitable for all skin types and is a perfect option for a range of makeups – lightweight day time to a heavy night time glam look! It is SPF 20 and light reflecting.

Poreperfecting Face Primer

The Poreperfecting Primer is a great option for normal to oily skin. It fills in pores and fine lines and helps create a smooth and velvety finish. It can be used all over the face, or just through the T-zone where pores appear to be larger.

Eye and Lip Primer

It is also just as important to prime your eyes and lips. Primer on the lips will make your lipstick last longer and enhance the colour. Priming your eyes prevents creasing that can happen throughout the day, making eye shadow and liner last and last!

As with all our products, our primers are paraben free and suitable for all skin types.
